The Girls, Tuna Fish Casserole, and Outside In are part of a larger body of work titled Belonging. Belonging is centered on the connection and community found woven together at the dinner table. Exploring tradition and rituals, this work digs into the messy birth of identity through exploration and reflection. These selected images are about searching, learning, and re-experiencing memories of family that are constantly changing with time and perception.

Abigail Egan is an emerging artist from Quincy, MA. She has been a photographer and writer for 10+ years with a background in marketing and public relations. Egan’s artistic style focuses closely on human connection and family interaction. Her work explores themes such as familial relationships and the passage of time. Egan previously earned a BA in English Communications from the Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts (MCLA) in 2015 and is currently a second-year MFA candidate at Lesley University’s College of Art and Design in the Photography and Integrated Media program.
